Sagami Rubber debuts world's thinnest condom

.01mm thick rubber blows away the competition

Japanese condom manufacturer Sagami Rubber Industry has broken through to a new level of thinness: a .01mm thick condom. After spending ten years working on this product, Sagami has seen its condom fly off of store shelves in Tokyo.

Note that the thinnest condom available in the States is the Trojan UltraThin, which comes in at .06mm.

Certainly there's a market desire there. If you take your cues about Japanese sexual relations from certain websites, then you can understand there's still a lot of desire for more "natural" feeling sex. Sagami's previous .02mm thick condom was met with great success, but a demand for something thinner. That's why they've been working on this version for so long.

A five-pack set of these condoms will run you 1,260 yen, which may be worth it to get that up-close-and-personal feel without the worries of STDs or baby-making. Sagami said they're working on researching even thinner condoms, but I bet that'll take at least another ten years to get working properly.

Sorry, I can't promise that we'll be doing a review of this product.
