SAO Extra Edition special to be simulcast worldwide

New Year's Eve TV special

For those of you who haven't dropped the show by now, and I know there's quite a few of you out there, you'll be pleased to hear that the The Sword Art Online EXTRA EDITION TV special, currently scheduled to air in Japan on New Year's eve, will now be simulcast worldwide sometime around midnight News Year's day -- an exact time has yet to be specified. In addition to some new footage, reportedly of the girls prancing around in swimsuits, the special will also recap the recent Aincrad and Fairy Dance arcs.

If, like so many others, you dropped the series after the first season, you might want to use this opportunity to catch up with the series, though I'm not sure it's worth it myself. Most of you should be able to catch the simulcast on Daisuki.net or Crunchyroll, though if you're in a French-speaking country, you'll have to catch it on Wakanim.
