Surprise: JoJo: Stardust Crusaders' English Dub to stream on Crunchyroll

In which Crunchyroll catches us off guard

I don't know if this announcement is a figment of my imagination or not, but Crunchyroll's planning to stream three episodes of Stardust Crusaders' English dub on July 5th. If you're going to Anime Expo 2014, there's going to be a special event that'll be showing Stardust Crusaders' dub as well.

Speaking of which, Satoshi Adachi (Stardust Crusaders' Executive Producer), Hiroyuki Omori (Stardust Crusaders' Producer), and Ryosuke Mori (Stardust Crusaders' other Producer) are having a panel at Anime Expo '14. In other words, there's a slight chance that this whole event's leading up to JoJo: Stardust Crusaders getting licensed in North America. Otherwise, why would someone go through the trouble of dubbing Stardust Crusaders in the first place?

If my licensing prediction is correct, then let's hope that Phantom Blood and Battle Tendency will get picked up as well. Before we get our hopes up, we'll just have to wait until Anime Expo 2014 to learn about the true meaning behind this unexpected JoJo event. For now, the folks at Crunchyroll revealed the English voice actors for Jotaro, Joseph, and Dio, which you can find in the section below.

Last but not least, Stardust Crusaders' English dub's only streaming on Crunchyroll for one day. If you're interested in checking out show's English audio, then you'll have to watch the stream before Crunchyroll puts the dub back in its coffin.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders' announced voice cast so far:

  • Jotaro Kujo: Matthew Mercer (Levi from Attack on Titan, Sinbad from Magi)
  • Joseph Joestar: Richard Epcar (Bobobo-bo from Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo, Jigen from Lupin III)
  • Dio: Patrick Seitz (Simon from Durarara!!, Franky from One Piece)
