Surprise Lucky Star Announcement in 2011? I am excite

There are two types of otaku: those who've seen or heard of Lucky Star, and those who've been comatose for four years. Even a quick look at all of the spin-off manga and adaptions from the original just makes my head really dizzy. While Lucky Star seemed to serve its purpose for Kyoto Animation when the manga was adapted into an anime back in 2007, come February 2011, there might be another chance to add something to that list.

In the latest December issue of the Japanese magazine Comptiq, a spread with the main characters (depicted in their anime character designs, not the manga designs) was shown, with text claiming a surprise announcement in the February issue concerning Lucky Star. Whether or not this is going to be about a manga spin-off, anime, video game or anything like that was not mentioned.

While there's a lot of rumors and theories going, personally, I wouldn't be surprised if it were a mention of a second season of the anime, or more realistically, an OVA of some sort. Since Kyo-Ani is more or less done with K-On! now, it'd be interesting to see the reaction towards another season. Would any of you guys put it past Kyo-Ani to post-humorously release a second season of the anime along with the ongoing manga, or do you predict something else?
