Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment announced for the Vita

There's no stopping the SAO train!

It should come as no surprise that Namco Bandai is eager to produce a follow up to its PSP Sword Art Online game. The release sold exceptionally well on a platform that is essentially dead, and it makes sense that they would want to capitalize on that success. SAO is still a huge property around these parts, so it'd be silly for them to not push forward on more projects.

Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment has been announced for release exclusively on the Playstation Vita. The game is set to hit Japanese stores in 2014, and features an original story that takes place in a mysterious place called the Hollow Area. The first trailer reveals gameplay that appears similar to the first title; MMO style combat, and a partner system that allows players to get closer to the female characters. The visuals have clearly seen a bit of a bump as well.

Check out the trailer above and let us know what you think in the comments below. If enough people end up wanting to see hands-on coverage of the game, I'm certainly not against the idea of diving in.
