Take a tour of a modern Japanese house

What's an LDK?

For avid anime watchers, it is common to see anime characters living in an apartment and learning that space is a premium in metropolitan areas in Japan. Though sometimes anime does show actual houses and they often seem huge from the inside and one can wonder about how that's possible in country where land is known to be limited.

The Japan-based YouTube channel, Life where I'm from, takes us on a tour of a brand new modern Japanese house in their latest video. Wow, it looks rather tiny on the outside but it seems more spacious on the inside if you live with not that much stuff. The video goes into the different features in this particular model of house and all the laws that goes into building on such a tiny space. Pretty interesting look into what we don't get to see much in anime or manga, unless there's an architecture manga or anime I am unaware of, but if there is, please tell me.

Check out the video below to see inside!
