Thanks for a wonderful 2010, Japanator community!

It's been four years now, Japanator.

We've been here for four long years, covering anime and manga, Japanese music and movies, and all the other weird stuff you could ever hope to find. It's been a fun and magical time, but to put it simply, I want to be serious with you. You might have noticed the magazines with honeymoon locations and wedding planning items sitting on the coffee table.

I hope you have, anyways. If not, this is going to be a bit of a shock for you.

Community, I stand here and want to make a promise for you: Now that we're entering our fifth year together, I want you to stay with us for good. Through the good and the bad, the site bugs and new features. I want you by my side forever. Each and every day, having your smiling face here to greet me is what warms my heart. Sure, we might have our disagreements over which anime was placed at #23 on our top 50 anime of the decade list, but I look past that because you care enough to talk with me about it.

So here, in 2011, I promise that I will build a new world for you. Thanks to your dedication, and some good words about us, we've grown twice as large as when we started off this year. We plan to beat that in the next year. And throughout it all -- the new commenters and staffers, the expanded features and special gifts -- we'll still be the same ol' Japanator. We're nothing without you, and so that's why I want you to know that everything we do in this next year is to make you happy -- to build a brighter world for you.

So please, stick with us, because I don't think I could live without you. Here's to seeing you all in a happy and exciting new year.
