The cutest Kendo players should wear Hello Kitty armor

The bogu of my dreams

A Twitter pic snapped by Ayatan at a recent Hello Kitty expo caught the cutest kendo bogu I've ever seen. I wonder whether it's fully functional? The most customizing I ever see on these pieces are in the stitching or occasionally the material that covers the fighter's chest.

The entire set is there: a mask, gloves, torso protection, and even the belt. It's all decked out with Hello Kitty print and colors, and the mask even has a big, fluffy bow on top. Anyone who has played kendo before would probably agree that having some extra fluff up there is a good thing, and they've got the bumps and aches to prove it. Though maybe most folks wouldn't want the extra fluff to be in the form of a big red bow.

By the way, if you're a fan of Hello Kitty and cute things in general, I get the feeling that Ayatan is a good person to follow on Twitter.
