This Chroma Squad fan film will awaken your true heroic spirit

Don't underestimate the power of boxes

After getting the chance to play Chroma Squad in 2015, a part of me wanted to see the game as a tokusatsu production. Lo and behold, the gang at Kamen Ramen Studios created their own live-action short that's a fun love letter to the original title.

In the end, the group managed to nail the game's important aspects in their short since players had to work with a very low budget during Chroma Squad's early segments-- including the campy lines. At the same time, there's something amazing about there being an independent short about a game that focuses on a group of stunt people wanting to create their own tokusatsu series.

Based on Kamen Ramen Studio's work on this short, it'll be interesting to see if they plan to create their own original indie toku series down the road. One thing for sure, their current video made look forward to watching their future projects.
