This is what a Final Fantasy VIII HD remake might look like


If only it were actually happening

I don't think Square Enix are ever going to make the much-demanded HD remake of Final Fantasy VII, but that doesn't mean we can't dream of how awesome a beloved game can look when done up in modern technology.

For artist Scott Honeycutt, the beloved game in question might be Final Fantasy VIII. He's gone and re-rendered the interior of that game's home base, Balamb Garden, in high-resolution CG. And boy does it look good. 

Now, if only Scott were attached to a project where the art could be put to proper use in bringing two killer Final Fantasy games to the new generations.
