Typhoon Noruda to hit US via Sentai Filmworks

A storm is coming

Sentai Filmworks is bringing the film Typhoon Noruda to US shores, the 2015 movie is directed by former Studio Ghibli animator Yujio Arai ( From Up On Poppy Hill, Secret World of Arriety). Its character designer and Animation director is Hiroyasu Ishida (Fumiko's Confessionrain town - videos below), with music being done by Masashi Hamauzu (Final Fantasy X, ClassicaLoid).

Sentai Filmworks sums up the premise of Typhoon Noruda:

"The film takes place in a middle school on a remote island. Shuichi Azuma, a dedicated student, suddenly quits the baseball team, which leads to a fight with his best friend, Kenta. When a storm hits their school one day, Shuichi meets Noruda, a mysterious girl with a strange necklace, who seems to be somehow connected with the typhoon. Who is she? More importantly, why does Shuichi feel the need to help her?"

By sheer coincidence, I ran into the music video by Gallileo Galleli on YouTube for this film a few weeks ago. I wasn't aware of the film and I liked what I saw in the video, I thought it was just an animation for the video until now. The trailer, the videos by Hiroyasu Ishida (Animation Director and Character Designer) and the music video from Gallileo Galleli are below! Check it out, yo!
