Man at Arms webseries attempts to forge Chrom's blade

I'm not sure what I'd do with a replica of Chrom's Falchion from Fire Emblem: Awakening, but I certainly have a healthy respect for the art of smithing. As evidenced in the video above, forging a sword -- even if it's just a novelty or prop -- is no easy task and requires quite a bit of hard work. And, while they may not have gotten every little fine detail, such as the gold or bronze inlays, the end product is still something to marvel at.

Like other videos in the on-going web-series, Man at Arms walks us through their process, giving us an up-close look at how the blade is forged. I always suspected it would be hard, but I had no idea how involved the process could actually be. I also love the detail on the pommel. Now if only they would go back and finish up the trimmings to make it a 1:1 replica. It'd be a cosplayer's wet dream, right?
