Video: Opening for Gonzo's Blade & Soul anime

It's not half-bad

I'm never quite sure if I'll ever fall in love with a series based on a popular MMORPG, mostly because I tend to avoid the genre like the plague. However, that's certainly not reason enough to avoid an anime altogether. If Blade & Soul's opening is truly indicative of what we can expect from the series, then it's worth a shot at the very least. Like many Korean MMOs the character designs are a bit eccentric at times, but nothing to complain about and from the looks of it, the show should be packed with plenty of action. Whether or not it ends up as popular as Sword Art Online remains to be seen, but you never know -- it could go there.

I suppose it also helps that the game has a built-in audience of gamers throughout Asia. If it proved popular enough to warrant an adaption like this, I'm curious if any of you are currently playing it despite never having been released domestically. Blade & Soul begins airing April 3rd in Japan. As far as we know, no plans to simulcast the series have been announced.
