Viz Pictures brings L: change the WorLd to American theatres

I think L is just as oddly charming as most fans of Death Note likely do, but I still thought the Hideo Nakata-directed change the WorLd was a terrible piece of crap obviously motivated by fanservice and nothing more. Still, not everyone may agree (after all, fanservice does exist for a reason), and those will likely be thrilled to hear that the L-centric movie L: change the WorLd is coming to US theatres courtesty of Viz Media. Anime News Network reports that the film will be shown on April 29th and 30th at selected theaters, with the first showing being subtitled and the second dubbed.

If you are on Shonen Jump's email newsletter, you can order advance tickets starting on March 20th, otherwise you can buy your tickets from March 23rd on. Think I'm going to pass on this one since I didn't care for the film, but I know I'll be somewhat pleased to see it taking over my local theatre and edging out retarded action flicks for a day or two. Gonna go see it?
