Watch Sony's latest Japanese PlayStation 4 ad

Features cosplay, Metal Gear, Yakuza, and more

Check out Sony's latest commercial for the PlayStation 4, set to launch in Japan on February 22nd. The ad features a multi-cultural cast of gamers and cosplayers who, rather than actually play anything, jump around and pose for the camera. I'm pretty sure nobody does this, but if Sony thinks it'll help sell consoles, more power to them. What's nice is that they actually show some clips of Yakuza Ishin, Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes, Dynasty Warriors, and more. Frankly, I'm excited for all of them.

Given its strong sales to date, Sony no doubt expects the console to perform as well, if not better at home, and rightfully so. The Japanese launch line-up actually has me a bit jealous. Don't get me wrong, I love my PS4 so far, but it'd be nice to have some new games to play. It wouldn't hurt if one of those games was Yakuza either. I'll just have to pine away and hope Sega eventually brings it stateside. Pipe dreams? Probably.
