Weekly Geek Debate: Batman vs. Superman

Time to settle it, America. The one battle for supremacy that is never settled: The Dark Knight vs. The Man of Steel.

On one side, we have the Last Son of Krypton: the man who was sent from his dying homeworld as a baby to Earth, and was instilled with the values of the American heartland by the Kents. As he grew up, he learned to control his powers and use them to defend the world against all sorts of threats. His unwavering moral compass is his greatest asset, besides maybe the invincibility to most anything.

On the other side is the Caped Crusader, the Dark Knight of Gotham. A wealthy billionaire, he was hardened as a boy after a mugger shot his parents dead in an alley. Batman operates on a thin line, using brutal force and unconventional methods to get his enemies -- often wondering if he himself should be locked up in Arkham with the criminals he captures. He's nothing more than a man with time and money on his hands, yet he manages to go toe-to-toe with the Man of Steel.

So, who would win in a fight? Would Superman just hurl airplanes from the sky at Batman, or shoot his heat vision? Or would Batman, the only person in the world able to launch a satellite into space without anyone noticing and who has a never-ending supply of Kryptonite, be able to use his superhuman intellect to devise a plan to defeat the Boy Scout, who isn't the brightest man in the world?
