Who wants a game where you can make your own toku show?

Could this be the toku game that we've been waiting for?

In case you haven't heard the news, there's this new game project by Behold Studios (Knights of Pen & Paper) on Kickstarter that lets players create and manage their own tokusatsu show. Going by the name of Chroma Squad, you'll have access to all of the main essentials that will allow you to make your custom tokusatsu influenced heroes become a huge hit!

Even though the game talks about making your own Power Rangers or Super Sentai-like series, you'll also have the option to make a show that's influenced by other toku shows -- such as Kamen Rider or the Metal Hero series. Not only that, we will have the option to create our own giant battles as well!

As neat as Chroma Squad sounds, I'm going to have to point out one minor mistake in their Kickstarter page. When they made their list of 90s toku shows that influenced Chroma Squad, they mentioned Changeman. However, Changeman came out in Japan in 1985; therefore, the series is actually a show from the 80s. Then again, I've heard that Changeman aired in Brazil, so there's a huge chance that it was shown there during the 90s. In other words, I retract my statement.

Anyways, Chroma Squad is at $47,233 out of their $55,000 goal, and they have 22 days left to go -- impressive, guys. That said, if you are into tokusatsu, strategy RPGs, and management games, then you might want to use your special powers to support Chroma Squad at their Kickstarter page!
