Winner for the Ouran High School Host Club contest!

Well, the Ouran contest is finally over! Who's the winner? The correct answer was 321, making the winner backflip10019 with the guess of 313! Good work, and I hope you enjoy reading the series. Want the clue answers? Look after the jump. OK, so let's tackle this series by series. First off: Mysterious and untrustworthy, you have no choice but to go through him. He carries everything, including that which can raise the dead. With a yawn he appears, unkempt and unnerving. If need be, he will call out the princess to bring destruction. This would be a reference to Urahara, as you can all tell by my avatar. While some of you took notice of that, you went with episode 6 as his first appearance. My avatar is a manga cap, so naturally I went with Chapter 13 for his first appearance. His princess of destruction is none other than Benihime, his zanpaktou. Young and innocent, they exchange life for freedom in the old world. Yet, is it truly worth it? Can you ever experience a real life again? Animated, they are duality incarnate. Purity and Wrath combined. This is a reference to Gunslinger Girl, as there were 6 girls in the series (Henrietta, Triela, Rico, Angela, Claes, and Elsa). I went with the anime, since apparently the manga is still going on in Japan, even though ADV hasn't been putting out any new volumes, which sorely disappoints me. The "old world" is nowhere other than Italy, where the Social Welfare Agency is located. The whole series is about the conflict of whether this sort of life is really worth being saved. Not accepted by society, they wear their love with pride. A labor of love finally appears, with a mysterious name. College may be traumatizing, but a group of friends is what keeps life sane. Yet with time passing, old friends disappear, and the new ones are never as good. This one was nitpicky, I'll admit. The answer is Genshiken, of course. Yet the answer was very specific. In the manga, they finally decide to put out a doujinshi manga, and the title was "Genshiken". From this, I got 5. げんしけん. 5 characters in the title, as they specifically wrote it solely in hiragana to add to its mystery. I didn't want to point really specifically at it, 'cause then it would have been too obvious. Finally, a dream of national pride comes true after so many years of inferiority. Many it took many tries, with many successes, but only one that was true. The ending came as a compromising position, with a product the nation could be proud of. Also, when you make something, who is the first person who gets to try it? Anyone who knows me knows that I love bread. Thus, this answer was Yakitate!! Japan. I signed up for my cooking class solely because of Yakitate. While the two obvious numbers were 61 and 69, 69 was correct. It was ambiguous up until the last line, as they answer the question about who is the first person who gets to try a new bread that you've made. That's basically the title of the last episode. So, who gets those two wall scrolls? Well, one is going to Borrie, since she got all the series right, and just mixed up the Bleach and Gunslinger Girl numbers, and screwed up the Genshiken answer. The other one will be going to caelanarcher, as he was doing very well with his guesses, and was in pretty much the same boat as Borrie with getting the right numbers for the wrong series. Well, enjoy your wall scrolls!
