YES: Crossbone Gundam gets a sweet new fan made opening

Please make a Crossbone Gundam anime, Sunrise.

Back in pretend college, a good friend of mine told me about a Universal Century Gundam manga known as Crossbone Gundam. Just as the title implies, the manga contains pirate themed Gundams. After I got the chance to dive into the first manga in the series, a part of me was wondering why Sunrise hasn't gotten around to making an anime adaptation of the story.

Thanks to Chau Kitchen, a hand drawn fan made animated opening of Crossbone Gundam has surfaced. Overall, I'm impressed with Chau's work, since the visuals looks very professional. Funny enough, this isn't the first time that Chau has tackled a Crossbone Gundam animation piece, since I've come across Chau's previous fan works that are connected to Crossbone Gundam. Judging this current piece, the animator has improved quite a bit. I will have to say that Chau's two years of work on this current project has payed off, and I'm looking forward to the next piece that comes from Chau's mind.

In case you've never heard of Crossbone Gundam, the manga focuses on a guy named Tobia, who ends up in a situation where he teams up with a band of 'space pirates' to fight against the Jupiter Empire, who are secretly plotting to take over the Earth. Unlike the other Gundam installments, Tobia spends a good chunk of the manga without a Gundam. But yeah, Crossbone Gundam reigns as my favorite Gundam series of all time, and I'm hoping that Sunrise decides to adapt the series after they finish Gundam Unicorn -- a man can dream. If that never happens, I'm still crossing my fingers for someone to bring the entire manga series over to North America.

Oh, look at the time. Apologies for rambling too much again. Once you are done with watching the opening, you can check out Chau's previous attempts at a Crossbone Gundam opening in the section below, along with a video of Chau's take on an opening for Crossbone Gundam: Steel Seven
