Yu-Gi-Oh jumps on the 3D bandwagon

Are you ready to d-d-dd-d-DUELLLLLLL?

It's been common knowledge for a little while that 4Kids Entertainment has been preparing a Yu-Gi-Oh movie to be released in early 2011. Of course, like other great works before it *cough* this will be in 3D. What's more sickening awesome than that? It's being released in theaters across the country in a limited number of locations and just for a few days.

On February 26-27 and March 5-6,  3D Yu-Gi-Oh greatness will be descending upon the masses in about 250 theaters in the US, with releases planned for Europe and Asia coming soon. As we get closer to the premiere, more information about locations and times will be available. Oh, and one other thing, this release will have 10 extra minutes of footage that wasn't included in the original Japanese release.

I don't really have any hope that this movie can be anything but laughable or stupidly bad. As much as I liked watching Yu-Gi-Oh after school, I'm not sure a movie, much less a 3D one, will do justice to what I liked about the series (even if I only liked the first arc.) But as always, I can hope. Maybe if I just trust enough in the heart of the cards...

Are you excited for a 3D Yu-Gi-Oh movie, or are you expecting a bomb?
